A Florentine, terra cotta staircase lined with lush gardens and stone walls leads the way to this enchanting Caprisian-style villa, offering a quintessential Mediterranean sanctum. A lavish terrace shaded by an impressive carob tree offers sweeping 180-degree views of the bay of Naples and its unique, surrounding islands—the perfect spot for alfresco dining. Descending down a path lined with terra cotta pots filled with pink and white geraniums, guests will find a magnificent swimming pool with diving board, surrounded by mature olive trees offering a shady retreat. A spacious patio and plush lounge chairs are perfect for catching the sun's rays and enjoying the sweeping views. Surrounding the fully fenced grounds are two acres of flourishing Mediterranean gardens that include lemon and fig trees and flowers. When in season, fresh fruit and vegetables may be available from the garden. This two-story main villa is complete with a fully-equipped kitchen with Carrara marble counter tops, a library, and a cozy living room painted sky blue with an adjacent sitting area, both with doors opening onto the beautiful terrace. All bedrooms of this villa offer widespread views of Capri. An elegant master king bedroom with en suite bathroom with shower has access to the terrace. The queen bedroom has balcony access and an en suite bathroom with shower. The quaint twin bedroom, complete with a balcony view of the isle of Procida, has a bathroom with tub/shower nearby at the end of the hallway. Just nineteen steps down from the main villa, on the lower garden level, there is a whimsical guest house with a small, sitting room, twin bedroom, and a bathroom with shower. |

Amenities include a stereo/CD system and TV/DVD, high-speed Internet, mobile telephone, fax, washing machine, and dishwasher. Although this villa is not equipped with window screens, the use of insect repellant VAPE machines in each room is more than sufficient. Heating and air conditioning are provided in the upstairs bedrooms and guest studio only, and fans are used for the rooms downstairs. The floors are decorated with beautiful hand-painted tiles of Vietri, very similar to those of the famous Hotel S. Pietro in Positano. Villa Azzurra sits on the San Lorenzo peninsula overlooking the ruins of a Roman tower and has views that stretch through Capri, Anacapri, Naples, and Mt. Vesuvius. Beautiful beaches, such as Nerano, Il Giardino Romantico, and La Conca Azzurra are all less than 25 min. away by car.
