Recently restored, Villa Celeste is a 19th century villa of great charm with its own chapel, olive oil press and castle ruins, set on a vast estate of Tuscan hill-terraced olive groves. Magnificent views stretch over the Nottolini's aqueduct and the lovely Luccan countryside. This villa was originally built as the summer residence of an aristocratic Tuscan family, who used the fertile estate for the cultivation of rare flowers; the property still boasts beautiful gardens.

Villa Celeste has an atmosphere of gentility, sophistication and elegance, from the angel-frescoed ceiling in the lounge and the grand music room, to the arched loggia with views across the camellia garden. The main entrance leads into an extraordinary formal dining room and a comfortably furnished salon with fireplace. The ground level also features a fully-equipped kitchen; a TV room; two guest bathrooms; and a study with telephone, fax, broadband Internet, computer facilities and a central music system. Towards the rear of the house you will find an Italian loggia facing a splendid garden. Head up the stairs to the first floor, and you will find six spacious and luxuriously-appointed bedrooms (twin or king) with windows framing panoramic views across Lucca and the surrounding countryside. The first floor also features an outstanding central salon with satellite TV and everything to provide relaxation and tranquillity. The second floor offers five more magnificent bedrooms, including a beautifully appointed deluxe room with a large dressing room. All the bedrooms have en suite baths and shower facilities.

Villa Celeste is part of a larger estate with its own equestrian ranch; the villa grounds and the beautiful Tuscan region are yours to be discovered on horseback. Outdoor facilities include a floodlit swimming pool, a barbecue area, and outdoor tables and chairs for al fresco dining. Mountain bikes are provided. Villa Celeste is staffed with a team of three who, along with general housekeeping duties, cater a continental/buffet breakfast each morning and provide meal service for either lunch or dinner. The villa also has a well-stocked private wine cellar, and a professional wine sommelier can be arranged to tailor-make a wine tasting program for your group. Lunchtime or evening cooking lessons with professional Italian chefs can be pre-booked at the villa for up to a maximum of 14 students. Massages and aesthetic treatments can be booked at the villa or arranged at the nearest health spas in Montecatini, Monsummano Terme, S. Giuliano, Tirrenia, etc.

What to do in the Lucca area of Tuscany
The historic town of Lucca features many attractions and unlimited historic charm. Take a stroll or rent a bicycle and ride through the town past famous monuments, ancient walls, several churches and the Guinigi Tower, which has trees planted at the top. In the town's cathedral is a small chapel containing the famous "volto santo" cross of Lucca. Every September 14th, the huge procession of Santa Croce fills the streets of Lucca to commemorate the date when the cross was first brought to the town. Tourists from all over the world come to enjoy this annual local tradition. Make sure to visit the church of Saint Michele, then enjoy cappuccino in Saint Michele square. And don't miss shopping along the Via Fillungo! There is something interesting to discover around every corner of Lucca.

North of Lucca, the famous Garfagnana Valley extends for miles, a splendid natural vista of mountains and hills. Along the way, stop at the famous "Devil's Bridge"—legend says the Devil himself has visited this spot. A huge Halloween celebration is held here every year. In Pisa, the famous Leaning Tower awaits. Some say it is one of the wonders of the world, and all agree that a sight of the Leaning Tower is a must for all who come to Italy. Nearby Forte Dei Marmi is one of the most popular places in Italy during the summer, boasting a beautiful beach, elegant shops and boutiques, and active nightlife of bars and discos like La Capannina and the Twiga Club.
