Where
wine meets art...
For more details about this wine tour, contact Bravo.
Bravo offers an exclusive wine tasting at the
estate and winery of Castello di Romitorio, residence of the well-known
artist Sandro Chia. Enjoy a private tasting and five-course Tuscan menu served in the beautiful courtyard of the castle.
Castello
Romitorio, a massive 12th century hilltop fortress in Montalcino, since 1986 has produced exquisite Tuscan wines, grappa, and olive oil in the best traditions of the region. After acquiring the estate in 1984, artist Sandro Chia spent the next several years restoring Castello Romitorio and transforming its lands into vineyards. He promptly constructed a cellar on the castle's ground floor with the most advanced equipment on the market, with a keen respect, though, for ancient techniques. To ensure the highest quality, he recently enlisted the expertise of the country's leading oenologist, Carlo Ferrini. Castello Romitorio's Brunello di Montalcino and the Rosso di Montalcino
are made exclusively from Sangiovese grapes, as local regulations
require.

in oak vats with a maximum capacity of HI 55 deepens the appreciation
of the exceptional quality of the wine.
